Louisiana best kept secret - the oil museum.

While viewing rooms decorated from the oil boom days, we spied a wall calendar from 1929 that had my beloved's grandfather's name. He was involved because he owned a Cypress tank business, which produced oil barrels. The family was surprised to see that such a treasure had survived the years.

The museum houses many pictures from that time with many well-known northwestern Louisiana names and faces.

It's so interesting, Mrs. Davis was so informative, you could feel her sincere love for the areas history and I was amazed at how many people from all over the country had signed the guestbook

We had fun looking around the museum. We were the only ones there. Good History of the petroleum in the area
